Mike was all for an early start, but at 5:30pm we were still waiting for most of the Beer Engine XI to arrive. 

Shame we waited really as they smacked 190 odd off 18 overs.... one lad making an unbeaten ton and another 48 not out. About the best that can be said is that Charles has got the knack of getting LBW decisions.... shame he can't catch or take the simplest of stumping chances....

As a reward for giving the Beer Engine's Centurion 4 lives he was sent out to open with Dave Carr. Cheriton were always a little behind the rate by dint of trying not to hit boundaries and by the time Jeremy came out and started to do so it was all a bit too late. On the plus side we did score almost 150 in 18 overs, a total we have struggled to get off 45 overs several times this season.

The next match is our annual fixture against the CX Medics on the 12th, see you all there!
